Foxin’ Wins Again is a sequel to the NextGen Gaming title Foxin’ Wins, after the earlier title proved a hit with slot fans. Once again, the five-reel game is themed around the fabulous lifestyle of fantastically wealthy Mr Fox, only this time the action takes place not in his enormous mansion, but instead on his luxury yacht, with a glorious sea view in the background.
With a jaunty nautical cap, Mr Fox has become Captain Fox, and as in the original game, his fox pups can appear at random after spins to turn more symbols into Wilds. The sequel has also stuck to the original’s gaudy colours, frenetic cartoony musical accompaniment, and amusing 3D cartoon graphics and animations. Foxin’ Wins Again has 50 pay lines, and players can bet between 1 and 200 credits per line.
Ten Ordinary Icons Used
There are 10 ordinary symbols on the Foxin’ Wins Again reels, six of them the poker values 9 to A. These low-value icons re paired in terms of their prize values; 9 and 10, J and Q, and K and A. as with the Foxin’ Wins title, they are drawn with bright enamel colours on golden letters and numerals, and five of a kind in the Ks or As win 200 credits.
The Foxin’ Wins Again themed icons all relate to the Fox family’s leisurely shipboard life. A compass and a delicious fruity cocktail are also icons with equal-value prizes, namely 20, 100 or 250 credits for three, four or five matches. Two more icons, the luxury yacht and Mrs Fox sunbathing on deck, begin paying prizes for two matches or better. Their biggest prizes, for five of a kind, are 500 and 1,000 coins, respectively.
Wild Role Played by Captain Fox
Just as he does in the original game, Captain Fox serves as the Foxin’ Wins Again Wild, with the usual slots substitution role. For successive runs of matching Wilds starting at Reel 1 on a pay line, this icon also wins 10, 200, 500 or 2,000 credits, for two, three, four or five of a kind much like poker combinations.
Foxin’ Wins Again features the same fox pups used in Foxin’ Wins to create extra Wilds on the reels, but now they are wearing sailor suits and hats. Foxin’ Wins Again also has NextGen’s Super Bet function, allowing the player to place additional wagers for enhanced wins. When Super Bet is engaged, fox pups appear more often and create more Wilds.
Ships’ Bell Scatter Rings up Good Fortune
A golden ship’s bell does duty as the Foxin’ Wins Again Scatter symbol, and three or more in any position trigger a round of 10 free spins. These free games come with additional prize enhancements like doubled values, second chances if the round doesn’t deliver satisfactory prizes, and of course more prize-boosting fox pups if the Super Bet is engaged.
